Here you will find a description of what each group will work on for the session
D Group:
- Proper body line & head position for the 4 main stroke (Free-FR, Back-BK)
- Introduction to kicking
- Building endurance through kicking
- Ready position
- Streamline
- Introduction to dive start progression (usually from the side)
- Learning to use the pace clock and leaving :05 apart
C Group
- Building on the group D emphasis
- Introduce Breast (BR) and Butterfly (FLY)
- Continued work on body line & head position for all strokes
- Developing timing and coordination of breathing w/ kicking and pulling
- Continued progression of starts (long shallow dive & streamline glide)
- Developing ready position and streamline
Group B
- Building on the group C emphasis with focus building more endurance
- Introduction to racing turns (flip turns and open turns) for all strokes
- Introduction to intervals
- Diving from the blocks
Group A
- Building on Group B emphasis
- Emphasizing proper techniques and body positions for all strokes
- Being able to use intervals in training
- Learning about what comes next, the competitive team!
